EBC Greenstuff has a high initial brake effect and gives drivers confidence from first application of the brake pedal. There is no such thing as a NO DUST pad. The very nature of how a brake works requires that some dust be generated to avoid rotor vibration (shimmying). The EBC pad creates less dust and dust is more easily washed off than most. All pads create more dust as they are bedding in especially if rotors are worn. Nominal friction coefficient 0.55. For heavier faster cars and vehicles above 200bhp we strongly recommend Redstuff which DOES offer much less dust

As EBC’s flagship street brake pad material for prestige and faster cars above 200BHP the 09 version on EBC Redstuff sets new standards in brake performance. Redstuff has always been known for its low dust ability but the latest blend has greatly reduced the phenomenon of pad “Pick up” or disc scoring and reduced dust even further.

Tested at the UK Motor Industries Research Association (MIRA) in witnessed tests early Redstuff reduced car stopping distance in tests by almost 50 feet from 100 MPH offering a staggering 30% brake improvement.

So what do we actually do to improve your car’s performance and fuel efficiency?
All recent cars have a computerized Engine Management System. Because this system can be re-programmed, our technicians can adjust things like the amount of fuel and oxygen that gets mixed in the engine, the timing of the spark plugs, and the power that the engine gives you at different RPMs. Our special software can find the optimum settings for your car so that it becomes more fuel efficient, with more power where you need it, in higher RPM ranges, giving better performance at the same time. Adjusting your car does not take long, and we can usually do it while you wait. Your gains are chiefly determined by your engine type:

Diesel (Turbo)
Remapping a diesel turbo engine will produce 30 - 40 BHP and 60 - 80nm torque depending on exact specification. Diesel engines give the most impressive power and torque gains available. Extra power is gained throughout the entire rev range and under all load conditions; The turning force gained from these engines is immense. This really is the best way of changing your car without having to change your car. Just seeing customers faces after tuning these engines really makes the job worth while.

Petrol (Turbo)
Remapping a Petrol Turbo engine will produce on average an increase of 20-30 BHP depending on manufacturers specification. The turbo is set to cut in earlier at lower revs giving significantly more responsive power. This increase in power and torque gives greater response in all gears reducing the need to change down unnecessarily to overtake safely and quickly.

Petrol (Naturally Aspirated)
Remapping a naturally aspirated petrol engine yields the least actual performance gain, however, the car will still have an increase in power at higher rev ranges, and your car will feel much more responsive because of this, resulting in a much smoother (and therefore safer) drive.
